21 year plumber here. I used Channel Lock pliers for the first 18 years, until I discovered this subreddit and the glorification of Knipex. Knipex is far superior to the Channel Lock brand. The only thing I use the Channel Locks for now is tightening shower arms by inserting the blue handle into the arm. I don't want to mess up my Cobra.
